When delivering training to personal in your organization, you cannot just expect to give access to training programs hoping that they will be trained successfully.
How will you know if students missed part of the training program or took the wrong modules
Can you justify that the training has been beneficial to both the student and your organization?
Will you you know if they understood the training and acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties?
In order for training to be effectively delivered throughout an organization, a student management system needs to be used.
Using a student management system, a training manager decides from a list of programs what training is appropriate and should be given to each student.
This can be done on a local area network or over the internet.
When a student arrives to take the training they use their assigned password to login to the system. The student management system then automatically sends them to their assigned courses.
The student can stop and resume the training at any time.
As the student takes their training all student performance parameters are automatically recorded to a database.
Because the student management system records each student's location in the training program any number of students can use the same machine to take their training.
At any time the training manager can generate reports of student performance.
Examples of performance parameters that are recorded by the student management system include:
Time spent in the courses and the training program.
Grades on tests
and many other student performance parameters.
In order to ensure that the training has benefited the student and the organization, reports are generated and analyzed.
This allows an organization to clearly see that users have received the skills and acquired the knowledge to better perform their duty.
Finally when the student completes their training program, the manager can then print a certificate showing that the student has completed the training program.
